Hi all, thought I just might give you all an update. Hope you all are doing well.

Well all, we just got back from our FIRST robotics competition. We did really well and I am already pumped for next year. Our team, 1317. made it to the finals and into the sixth seed. We did better than ever before and it was awesome!

Next year guys, I think we need to have a better drive train. Not only stronger structurally but more muscle power as well. Guys remember 393?, they got into the fifth seed just for having muscle.

Next year we are definitely going to two regionals! I think the first one should be a practice and the second competitive. Thanks everyone for all the work that you guys have put into the bot this year. You all are so much like family to me and it is really torture to not see you all the time anymore. God Bless you all and have a great week.

Ok, this is Joe, updating for Aaron. The reason he was unable to update is because the previous post covered the buttons, but now he can (your welcome) lol

Well everyone, Mexico was awesome. I had such a blast. I tried to post while there but my xanga wasn't working or something so I have had to wait until now to tell you all about it. Below is a journal type enty one of the team members wrote. God Bless AJ

Today was amazing!! It will be hard for me to describe everything but I will try. We went to Xalacapan to hold the clinic and treated over 35 families, but 65 came. Steve (the doctor) is doing a great job.   We go back tomorrow and we first treat the 30 families that came today then there will be many more because a lot of people said their relatives were going to come tomorrow. Everything went smoothly and peacefully, a lot of great things happened. One man couldnt walk in when he came in but when he left he walked out on his own. Another lady was having a stroke when she came but she recovered while she was there and also prayed to receive Jesus.
The glasses were a big hit, one elderly woman had not been able to see for years and we gave her some glasses and she said she could see everything so clearly. She was SO happy and she went home and brought a big 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola as a gift. So many of the people we saw were so happy when they left.
Most of the people we saw did not come last year, but every single one that did said that it helped a lot. A few said they had new problems and a couple said they were fine for awhile but then it came back.
I just loved every minute of it. I am not feeling too well but its not slowing me down, just a few stomach problems but its not a big deal. Pretty much everyone is ok so far, except Jill is not feeling well at all probably altitude sickness. Everyone is getting along so well, and everyone was so helpful. We have a great team this year.
I just cant express how incredible it is to be able to communicate fairly smoothly with the people here. We have always loved them, but when you can hold a normal conversation with them its so amazing. To see how happy they are to be treated its amazing, they are so thankful. Like last year (from what I heard), people waited hours and hours. Some waited almost six hours only to be told that they had to come back tomorrow to see the doctor. But they were all very patient and nice.
I could keep going forever but I guess thats enough for now. I am just so happy to be working in those clinics, those who have been here may be able to understand. Beyond words.
There were a few people who could not get out of bed to come because they are very sick, so we are hoping to go down to their homes tomorrow during the lunch break. You can be praying about that because we are not sure what we will encounter in that part of town.
I really havent had culture shock, I actually feel almost at home here there was very little adjustment period. Yesterday I was so happy and amazed to be back but now it almost feels like Ive been here for a long time already.
